Does not recognize the card as being from Silicon Image. Learn more - opens in a new window or adaprec. The only way to get the drive to function again is to remove it from the array, format it and then re-apply it to the array through the browser software.

Initally these problems stemmed from bad drivers, and this is a big gripe I now have with adaptec as the drivers which came with the cards simply ‘did not adapteec with either pro or server seperate installs. I actually did an RMA on the drive and the sa controller, but still happening.
Adaptec has a fairly poor history when it comes to RAID cards. Next and most importantly, after installing windows the card BIOS would state that the array has entered a ‘degraded’ state. The seller hasn’t specified a postage method to United States.
